Seth Goodwin

Seth Goodwin is a three dimensional artist and craftsman working in Springfield NJ. Goodwin creates work, which deals in observation, with an emphasis on materials and concept.

            Goodwin was born and raised in suburban New Jersey.  As the child of two artists, he was always encouraged to create things with his hands. His observation of unusual objects opened up his exploration of all things tactile. After receiving his BFA from Kean University and his MFA from Montclair State University, Goodwin turned to Teaching, He currently teaches at both of these institutions.  Goodwin is also a member of the exhibition design team at the Newark Museum. Seth Goodwin is a co-director and founder of the Index Art Center in Newark NJ.
